In issue 50 of Neon Literary Magazine we take a whirlwind trip through a range of improbable worlds. Artists in semi-submerged communes huff oocytes from test tubes. Tiny gods take up residence in birdhouses. A rusty tank begins a new life as a starship crewed by a pair of misfits. We learn how to deal with golems, shift work, and infestations of mice.
This issue features the work of Tom Conaghan, Mack W Mani, Matt Riker, Georgina Beaty, Andrew Nightingale, Allie Kerper, John McClelland, Kym Deyn, Verena Kyratzes, and Jonathan Greenhause.
Neon is pay-what-you-want to download, and costs just £6.00 for a physical copy. In its perfect-bound format each issue is around 80 pages, and is photo-illustrated in black and white.
Published spring 2020 (print and online).
I just read issue 51 and really enjoyed the mix of poetry, short fiction and artwork, including graphic art stories. Will read more issues and encourage others to do so.
