Firstly, Happy New Year to all Neon‘s readers and writers. I hope that the first few days of 2015 have been good and productive. I’ve been hard at work planning the year ahead, and mapping out some of the exciting projects that I want to undertake.
To that end, I’ll be closing chapbook and pamphlet submissions in the next few days. If you have a proposal that you wish to send along, please do so before Wednesday 7th January. I’m particularly keen to see a few more pamphlet ideas before I stop reading, so please don’t hesitate if you think you have something which might be a fit.
As one window closes, however, another opens. I’ll shortly be accepting micro-fiction submissions for the next volume of Battery Pack. You can check out the stories which made it into the first micro-anthology here. Refer to the guidelines page on Wednesday 7th for information about how to send in your work.
Finally, it’s only just over a month until the launch of our second chapbook, A Week With Beijing by Meg Eden. Our first (The Naming Of Cancer by Tracey S Rosenberg) has been available since the end of November. I’d love to get both into the hands of as many people as possible, and so I’ll be including a chapbook with each new subscription that is taken out this month. This is in addition to the free pamphlet that comes with each issue I ship out. To take advantage of this offer, just place a subscription via the shop page – subscribe now and you’ll receive the magazine and any free pamphlets I publish for the rest of the year!
